Ivan Ulitchev, lecturer at the Don Theological Seminary, will speak atHouse of A.F. Loseva with a report on the impact the works of the philosopher Vladimir Lossky had on Orthodox theology of the 20th-21st centuries.
Particular attention will be paid to the influence of the new European concept of “personality” on the theological teachings of Vladimir Lossky. It was his works that later influenced the development of Orthodox theology in the 20th and early 21st centuries.
The speaker examines the philosopher’s use of the principles of theological personalism, including the convergence of the concepts of “personality” and “the image of God in man”.
