More than 470 million rubles will be allocated to replace the power equipment of the Pyotr Kottsov research vessel, which provides navigational and hydrographic support for shipping in the area of the Northern Sea Route. This order was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

The investment project for the technical re-equipment of the vessel, built in 1991, includes the replacement of two old auxiliary diesel generators with new units with the same capacity. For this, about 212 million rubles will be allocated from the federal budget in 2022, and more than 258 million in 2023.

The implementation of the project will increase the service life of the vessel by at least 15 years and significantly reduce operating costs.

The document was prepared as part of the implementation of the federal project “Northern Sea Route”, which became part of the Comprehensive Plan for the Modernization and Expansion of the Main Infrastructure for the period up to 2024.

The document will be published.
