In winter, cases of fires and the death of children on them have become more frequent. Children’s safety directly depends on adults. Children left without attention of their parents are in danger everywhere. Their pranks with fire lead to disaster. According to statistics, the overwhelming number of deaths of children in fires occurs in the residential sector.

So, on February 4, in the Chelyabinsk region, a fire broke out in an apartment on the fifth floor of an apartment building. A child died in the fire.

On February 5, in the Irkutsk region in the Kachugsky district, a fire broke out in a private residential building, where 4 people were injured, 2 of them children died.

On February 6, in the Trans-Baikal Territory in the city of Petrovsk-Zabaikalsky, a fire broke out in a bathhouse. There were three people in the bath at the time of the fire. A man born in 1989, before the arrival of firefighters, managed to independently take two children out of the bathhouse. Unfortunately, on February 8, the children died from their injuries.

As part of preventive measures, employees of the Russian Emergencies Ministry have stepped up explanatory work with the population on fire safety.

With the involvement of specialists from the Russian Emergencies Ministry, meetings are held with the population and raids on the housing stock, during which residents are explained the rules of fire safety. Large families, disadvantaged families and elderly citizens are in the zone of special attention.

Thus, Ulyanovsk rescuers conducted a preventive fire safety raid in apartment buildings on Avtozavodskaya Street, Zasviyazhsky District, Ulyanovsk. Employees spoke with residents and said that the fire in apartment buildings is spreading rapidly, covering entire floors and entrances in a matter of minutes. The most important aspect of fire safety in apartment buildings is the correct arrangement of common areas that meets the established requirements. Similar raids took place in the Bryansk, Kostroma and Vladimir regions.

Also, employees of the department carry out a number of preventive measures among children. In an interactive format, rescuers and firefighters talk about the rules of behavior in dangerous situations.

For example, Krasnoyarsk rescuers organized an unusual lesson for children. Schoolchildren from various educational institutions came to the local cinema to watch the documentary “Rising from the Ashes”, dedicated to fire safety. The picture tells how violations of fire safety rules lead to large fires. In the future, the practice of teaching children with the help of cinema will be continued. Such an experience aroused a storm of delight among schoolchildren, they were happy to ask questions to employees of the Russian Emergencies Ministry. Many children noted that they had not previously thought about how dangerous fire could be, but now they will reconsider their point of view.

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia urges not to leave children alone: left to their own devices, they are at risk, curiosity can turn into an irreparable disaster. Matches, lighters, candles should be kept out of the reach of children.

We remind you that if a fire is detected, immediately report by phone “101”.
