Specialists repaired the engineering systems, restored moldings in the interiors, stained-glass windows and historic staircases.

In the main house of the estate N.I. Vidlovsky – A.V. Ivanov in Turchaninov lane ended large-scale repair work, said the head of the capital Department of Cultural Heritage Alexey Emelyanov.

The wooden manor house of the second half of the 19th century has the status of an object of cultural heritage of regional significance. Here in 1878-1881 the artist Viktor Vasnetsov lived and worked. Work on the preservation of the building took place under the control of the Moscow Department of Cultural Heritage.

“For nine months, specialists carefully put in order both the structural and decorative elements of the monument. Particular attention was paid to the preservation of the elegant stucco details in the interiors, as well as the historic staircases. Another significant part of the work was the repair of engineering systems. Now the building is completely ready for use,” said Alexey Yemelyanov.

Stairs, walls and ceilings with stucco decoration and cornices with floral ornaments were put in order, doors, windows, a stained-glass window with a floral pattern made of colored glass, as well as parquet floors and metlakh tiles were repaired.

The brickwork of the building was treated with protective compounds, the drainage system was replaced, the facade was updated, the plaster on the plinth was restored and the cornices were painted. The repair also touched upon key engineering communications: water supply, ventilation, air conditioning, internal electric lighting and fire alarms.
