For the selection of laureates to the Organizing Committee, which included well-known figures of culture, education and science, heads of professional associations and unions, employees of the penitentiary department, a lot of work was sent. The competitions were held in 14 nominations: “Theater”, “Artistic reading”, “Drawing”, “Painting”, “Variety singing”, “Solo folk singing”, “Ensemble folk singing”, “Television journalism”, “Photography”, “Culinary Art”, “Hairdressing”, “Clothing Design”, “Artistic Crafts”, “Folk Instruments”.

According to the results of the Championship, the jury determined three winners and prize-winners in each nomination, as well as holders of special diplomas (the list is attached). All those who distinguished themselves in the creative competition were encouraged by the rights of the heads of institutions. Note that at the time of the award ceremony, one of the laureates had already been released on parole.

The Championship was organized by the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, St. Petersburg University of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia and the territorial bodies of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia with the support of the National Delphic Council of Russia.

The preparation of the event was carried out for several years, in particular, representatives of the leadership of the Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia attended the events of the all-Russian youth Delphic Games of Russia, and employees of the department and convicts participated in various stages of competitions in the constituent entities of the Russian Federation.

It is worth noting that the history of the Delphic Games, which originated in Ancient Greece, like the Olympic Games, begins as early as 582 BC. e. They were banned more than 1600 years ago and were revived only at the beginning of the 20th century. A new era of the Delphic Games, which became a worldwide phenomenon, began in 2000, when the First World Delphic Games of our time were held in Moscow with the participation of 27 countries by the National Delphic Council of Russia.
