Employees of public utilities continue to clean the roofs and facades of buildings from ice and remove snow.

Snow removal work continues everywhere in the capital. Not yet over, this winter has already become the snowiest in four years, according to meteorologists. Since the beginning of the winter season, snow growth has amounted to 160 centimeters (with an annual rate of 1.5 meters).

The thaw has been going on for six days now. Due to fluctuations in air temperature between negative and positive values, frost can form on roofs and protruding facade elements. Therefore, experts clean them daily. 2.9 thousand teams of roofers and about 500 aerial platforms, including special equipment of engineering and energy companies of the city, are involved in the cleaning work. Almost 17,000 roofs are under the control of city services.

According to weather forecasts, today the air temperature will be from minus one to plus one degree. Light rain is possible in some areas of the capital.

There are 300 brigades and about 290 units of special equipment of State Unitary Enterprise Mosvodostok on round-the-clock duty. All applications for temporary accumulations of water are promptly processed.
