Four football fields are planned to open in Moscow this year. They are built at the expense of the city budget. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for urban planning policy and construction Andrey Bochkarev.

“Today, four football fields are under construction in Moscow. Thus, the large-scale reconstruction of the Moskvich stadium has already been completed by more than 90 percent. In the spring, the installation of the finishing coating of the running tracks and the lawn on the football field will be completed here,” Andrey Bochkarev emphasized.

In the first quarter of this year, it is planned to complete the main construction work on the reconstruction of the football field with infrastructure in Zelenograd. Now the facade of the administrative building has been completely put in order, finishing work and updating of internal networks are coming to an end.

Another football field with infrastructure will appear on Paustovsky Street in the Yasenevo district, where the main construction and installation work has already been completed. In addition, a new football field will be opened as part of school No. 112 Sputnik of Moskomsport.

In total, there are 1,338 football fields in Moscow, including 144 full-sized ones, 1,153 football pitches and 41 football arenas. More than half of the football fields were created in school stadiums. Everyone can use them city ​​dwellers.

About 13,000 people play football in the capital’s sports schools. More than 300,000 Muscovites play in professional and amateur sports clubs.
