Today the Center for Special Risk Rescue Operations “Leader” is celebrating 28 years since its founding. Lider’s specialists are entrusted with carrying out emergency rescue operations of particular complexity in emergency situations, including at facilities with increased danger to human life and health.

Over the 28 years of its existence, the personnel of the Center have carried out more than 2,000 rescue, humanitarian and special operations. During which the lives of more than 5,000 people were saved, more than 3,000 victims were evacuated from emergency areas. More than 300 tons of humanitarian aid have been delivered to various regions of the country and the world, more than 100,000 explosive objects have been neutralized and destroyed.

The staff of the Center is the main value of the “Leader”. Paratroopers, pyrotechnicians, NBC protection specialists, climbing rescuers, divers, dog handlers are ready to perform operations of absolutely any complexity.

The Center concentrates the best domestic and foreign light, medium and heavy robotics. Modern mobile mobile complexes are capable of replacing a person in the most extreme situations.

Center “Leader” takes part in numerous operations not only on the territory of the Russian Federation, but also far beyond its borders. These are Afghanistan, India, Japan, Indonesia, Serbia, Nepal and other countries.

Among the latest major humanitarian operations, work in Nagorno-Karabakh can be noted. The rescuers of the Center provided comprehensive assistance to the affected population, and also performed the task of searching for and neutralizing unexploded ordnance.

Last year, pyrotechnicians surveyed territories in the Republic of Crimea, the Tver region and New Moscow. The divers carried out work related to the disposal of explosive objects in the Black Sea in the Crimea, at a potentially dangerous underwater facility in the Baltic Sea of ​​the Kaliningrad region. Throughout the year, the specialists of the RCB protection carried out measures for the special treatment of socially significant objects in the city of Moscow and the Moscow region.

The rescuers also carried out the most difficult work to lift a helicopter that crashed in the Baltic Sea, search operations in the Barents Sea at the crash site of a fishing vessel, eliminated the consequences of wildfires in the Republic of Mordovia, floods in the Crimea. For the first time in the history of the Center, rescue climbers took part in rescue operations on Mount Elbrus in the Kabardino-Balkarian Republic as part of mountain training camps.
