An eco-trail with viewing platforms and benches, play areas for children of different ages will be built here.

A comfortable area for recreation, walks and sports “Quiet Yard in the Forest” will be equipped in Solovyinoy proyezd in the course of work to preserve and restore the Bitsevsky Forest. It will become a local recreational center for the residents of Yasenev.

“The already existing natural meadow will become a landmark element of the territory – an eco-trail with wooden flooring will be created around it, which will include small viewing platforms with benches for relaxing and contemplating the picturesque landscape. This solution will save plants from trampling, as well as provide migration routes for insects and small animals under the flooring,” said the Deputy Head of the Moscow

Department of Capital Repairs Sergey Melnikov.

The proposal to equip points of attraction on the border of the Bitsevsky forest was approved by 79 percent of residents during the voting in the Active Citizen project. In Yasenevo, a territory with a total area of over 10 hectares borders on apartment buildings. A new local recreational center will be built here, it will be part of the buffer zone, which is planned to be created around the Bitsevsky forest. This ecological ring will help expand the recreational opportunities of the territory and reduce the load on its central part, as well as preserve the unique ecosystem.

The flooring around the meadow will be connected to paths leading to the central part of the forest, as well as to paths to houses, children’s and sports grounds.

“Playgrounds will remain approximately the same size, but they will be reorganized. New and more environmentally friendly equipment will be installed, divided into play areas for different ages. They will also replace the shells on the sports ground. Mulch, gravel and sand will be used as a coating on the sites,” Sergey Melnikov noted.

According to him, residents partly use this area for sports and walking with children. However, it is inconvenient to walk here in the off-season or rainy weather due to the lack of paths, playground equipment mixed with sports equipment, mounted right in the grass and already outdated. In addition, the territory has a large capacity, since it is possible to go through it to Bitsevskaya Alley, the key transit between the Yasenevo and Chertanovo Central districts.
