Four new houses will be built for residents of the district: on Schelkovskoye Highway, Bela Kun Square and Amurskaya and Baikalskaya streets.

About 8.5 thousand participants renovation programs will receive new apartments in the Golyanovo district by 2025. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor for Urban Policy and Construction Andrey Bochkarev.

“As part of the first wave of resettlement under the renovation program in the Golyanovo district in eastern Moscow, by the end of 2024, it is planned to resettle about 8.5 thousand participants in the program, who today live in 42 old houses,” he said.

Four new houses will be built for them. The first new building on Schelkovskoye Highway is already populate – apartments in it were chosen by 95 percent of families from a five-story building on Amurskaya Street (building 74).

“Construction of houses on Bela Kun Square and Amurskaya Street is also ongoing – they are planned to be commissioned before the end of next year. Another new building will appear on Baikalskaya Street by the end of 2024,” Andrey Bochkarev said.

According to him, a total of 101 houses with an area of ​​413,000 square meters will be settled in the Golyanovo district under the renovation program. Today, 25.3 thousand people live in them – about 15 percent of the district’s population.

The renovation program was approved in Moscow in August 2017. About one million of its participants will move to new apartments. Today, 534 launch sites have been selected for the construction of new housing throughout the capital.
