Now 1.5 thousand athletes are trained here under the guidance of more than 70 coaches.

As part of the Sports of Moscow state program, the Moscow Government will allocate 251 million rubles to support the activities of the Gymnastics Palace at Luzhniki. The funds are used to ensure a high level of training, the corresponding order was signed Sergei Sobyanin at a meeting of the Presidium of the Moscow Government.

Now, 1,500 athletes, pupils of 11 sports schools in the capital, are training in the halls of the Gymnastics Palace at Luzhniki. Under the guidance of more than 70 coaches, future stars of Russian and world gymnastics are trained here.

Every year, the sports ground hosts national and international competitions in rhythmic and aesthetic gymnastics, dance sports and acrobatic rock and roll, hand-to-hand combat, fencing and other sports. In the summer of 2022, the 44th World Chess Olympiad is to be held at the Gymnastics Palace.

In addition, concerts and entertainment events are held here on days free from training and sports.
