More than 140 families from neighboring five-story buildings will receive apartments in the new building.

A second house for participants was completed in the Shchukino district renovation programs. The new building is scheduled to begin occupancy in the second half of 2022.

“House 2 in 1st Pekhotny Lane was put into operation in February of this year. More than 140 families living in the old neighboring five-story buildings will be able to start resettlement,” said the head

Department of Urban Planning Policy of Moscow Sergei Levkin.

According to him, a new building on Novoshchukinskaya Street (building 8) is already being occupied in the area. “As part of the first stage of the renovation program, two five-story buildings are being settled on Aviatsionnaya Street (building 61, building 2) and Novoshchukinskaya (building 6),” the head of the department noted.

In total, more than eight thousand residents of Shchukin will receive new apartments. Until the end of 2032, 42 old houses are to be resettled in the district. One of them has architectural value – a three-story house on Raspletina Street (house 20) will be preserved and reconstructed. Five launch sites have been selected for the construction of new housing in Shchukin.

The renovation program was approved in Moscow in August 2017. About one million of its participants will be able to move into new apartments. 534 launch pads have been selected throughout Moscow today.
