More than 28,000 young specialists work in educational institutions of the city.

This year, the Pedagogical Start nomination became part of the city professional competition “Teachers of the Year of Moscow”. Previously, it was a competition of youth initiatives “Young teachers for Moscow education”, in which only specialists under the age of 30 could compete. Now it is not the age of the contestants that is taken into account, but the teaching experience.

“Today, more than 28,000 young teachers under the age of 35 are employed in educational institutions in Moscow. “Pedagogical Start” is a nomination for those whose career path is just beginning, but there are already first results that you want to present to society. Both a university graduate and an experienced specialist who decides to change their occupation need support and professional feedback on their first steps at the start. This nomination is a great opportunity to express yourself, get acquainted with the experience of colleagues, in order to continue to hone your skills in the interests of every Moscow schoolchild, ”emphasized

Ilya Novokreshchenov, deputy head of the capital Department of Education and Science.

There will be three directions in total: “Teacher-master” – for teachers with up to three years of experience who want to demonstrate their professional qualities and teaching skills, “Teacher-leader” – for teachers with up to five years of experience, ready to show their leadership and managerial qualities, “Professional Union” – for teams of five people representing one educational organization, with up to five years of work experience.

Registration for the “Pedagogical Start” will last until February 28. Detailed information is available at website competition.

Professional skill competitions are becoming more popular with young teachers every year. So, in 2020, 292 teachers participated in it, and in 2021, the competition has already attracted 907 specialists from 178 educational organizations.
