About 40 non-residential premises were prepared for commercial purposes in new buildings onrenovation program in the Southern District. They are located in 10 houses that have been transferred for settlement, the head of Department of Urban Planning Policy of Moscow Sergei Levkin.

“The commercial use of non-residential premises in houses built under the renovation program contributes to the local development of trade and services, as well as the creation of new jobs. Of the 38 non-residential areas in the Southern District, 17 have already been purchased into ownership,” he noted.

On the lower floors of new buildings, as a rule, small and medium-sized businesses are located: shops, cafes, beauty salons, additional education centers, service providers, and cultural and leisure institutions.

“In order to become the owner of non-residential premises, it is necessary to send an appropriate application to participate in the auction. Any individual or legal entity, as well as an individual entrepreneur, can submit it,” said Sergey Levkin.

The renovation program was approved in August 2017. About one million of its participants will be able to move into new apartments. 534 launch sites have been selected for the construction of new housing throughout Moscow.
