The traffic on the embankments will not be limited.

Paveletskaya and Novodanilovskaya embankments, located in the south of the capital, will be overhauled this year, said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow in the Moscow Government for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Petr Biryukov.

“All events will be held during the daytime with a minimum amount of equipment. The movement of vehicles along the embankments will not be limited, the sidewalks will remain free for pedestrians,” the deputy mayor noted.

He added that local repairs and restoration of granite slabs will be carried out on Paveletskaya Embankment, and the railing structures will be repaired. Waterproofing will be done between the cornice blocks and the embankment wall from the sidewalk, and pedestals will be placed.

On Novodanilovskaya Embankment, granite cladding will be renewed and damaged elements of cast-iron fencing will be replaced. Specialists will perform waterproofing and grouting, as over time the material is destroyed, and this can lead to displacement of the plates and even their fall out.

The Tula gathering of the Novodanilovskaya embankment will be made convenient for people with limited mobility. The granite ramp for the descent will be equipped with a metal handrail, and an additional metal ramp will be installed below.

In 2021 landscaped four embankments of Balchug Island. Sofiyskaya, Raushskaya, Sadovnicheskaya, Kosmodamianskaya embankments, as well as Sadovnicheskaya street and alleys adjacent to them, have acquired a new look.
