To date, the aviation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia is armed with 84 aircraft, of which 23 aircraft and 61 helicopters. Every day, at 25 airfields from Kaliningrad to Kamchatka, the crews of the aviation rescue institutions of the Russian Emergencies Ministry are on duty around the clock in emergency situations.

In 2022, the aviation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia has already made 919 flights, evacuated 40 people. So, the first flight took place on January 1 to perform an emergency air ambulance evacuation of a three-year-old child in the Khabarovsk Territory.

On January 4, at night, in difficult conditions, the crew of the cargo ship “Grigory Lovtsov” was evacuated in the Sea of ​​Okhotsk, Khabarovsk Territory, which, as a result of ice formation and the threat of damage to the ship, gave a distress signal.

On January 27, a search and rescue operation of three lost men was successfully carried out in the Khabarovsk Territory.

On February 7, a snowboarder from Omsk was rescued in the Krasnodar Territory.

In total, about 15 thousand flights are carried out annually by the aviation of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia.

So, in 2021, almost 20 thousand people were transported, 18.7 thousand tons of cargo were delivered. When extinguishing fires, 6890 drains were carried out, while the spread of fire to 54 settlements was not allowed.

35 flights were made to deliver 123.5 tons of humanitarian cargo to Turkmenistan, Kyrgyzstan, India, Tajikistan, the Lao People’s Democratic Republic, Kyrgyzstan, South Africa and Vietnam, a humanitarian mission was provided in Nagorno-Karabakh.

With the use of aviation EMERCOM of Russia 864 people were evacuated. In addition, 226 Russian citizens were evacuated from the Republic of the Philippines, the State of Palestine, the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan.

Aviation support was also provided for the International Salon “Integrated Security – 2021”, the XV International Aviation and Space Salon “MAKS – 2021”, an interdepartmental experimental research exercise in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation.

Unmanned aerial systems are also actively used in the EMERCOM of Russia system. They are used in monitoring ice, flood and fire conditions, as well as in search and rescue, rescue and other urgent work.

In total, to date, the department is equipped with 464 UAVs: 415 of the helicopter type, 39 of the aircraft type and 10 of the combined type. With their help, over 35,000 flights were made in 2021 alone. The BAS were also involved in monitoring the forest fire situation 1820 times, and the flood situation 1452 times. In 2022, BAS has already completed 630 flights.

The technical re-equipment program until 2030 provides for the supply of 32 aircraft, as well as 902 UAVs, to the Russian Emergencies Ministry. This year, it is planned to supply 8 aircraft, including 1 Be-200ChS aircraft and 7 helicopters, as well as 217 UAVs of various types, which will improve the efficiency of the response of forces and means of the Russian Emergencies Ministry to emerging emergencies, including in the Arctic zone of the Russian Federation .
