Yury Zubov became the new head of the Federal Service for Intellectual Property (Rospatent). The order on his appointment was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

Yuri Zubov was born on April 20, 1979 in Moscow.

Graduated from the Moscow State University of Culture and Arts, Faculty of Management and Socio-Information Technologies with a degree in Information Systems in the Socio-Cultural Sphere. Later – International Institute of Management LINK. Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences.

In 2000–2008, he was involved in business development at Biblio-Globus Trading House LLC, and was a member of the Supervisory Board of Biblio-Globus Holding.

After that, he moved to the public service. For five years, Yuriy Zubov worked at the Ministry of Culture as Deputy Head, then Head of the Department of Science, Innovation and Information Technology of the Department of Science and Education. In 2009, he was awarded the rank of 3rd class adviser to the state civil service of the Russian Federation.

From 2013 to 2016, Yuri Zubov was Deputy Head of the Information Technology Department of the Federal State Unitary Enterprise “Main Production and Commercial Department for the Service of the Diplomatic Corps under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.” Later, he headed the FGBU “Federal Institute of Industrial Property” (FIPS).

In November 2018, Yury Zubov began working at Rospatent, where until now he has held the position of Deputy Head.
