Repair work will be carried out, including on Leninsky and Komsomolsky avenues, Kashirsky and Yaroslavl highways, Novaya Basmannaya and Bakuninskaya streets.
More than 23 million square meters of asphalt concrete pavement will be replaced in the capital in 2022. This was told by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing and Communal Services and Improvement Petr Biryukov.
“Special attention is paid to the maintenance of the capital’s roads in the normative state; every spring, after the establishment of constant positive air temperatures, work begins on the repair of the roadway. This year, we will replace 23 million square meters of asphalt concrete pavement on major highways, streets, intra-block passages and courtyards,” the deputy mayor noted.
It is planned to replace the asphalt, including on Leninsky and Komsomolsky avenues, Kashirsky and Yaroslavl highways, Novaya Basmannaya and Bakuninskaya streets.
Road repairs are carried out annually, because due to heavy traffic and sudden changes in air temperature in autumn and winter, a special type of deformation of the canvas is formed – rutting. If it is not eliminated, it can adversely affect traffic safety.
After the asphalt is replaced, centerline markings will be applied to it – they separate traffic flows in opposite directions. In 10 days, lane lines, markings for pedestrian crossings, stop lines, arrows, duplicate road signs and markings for public transport stops will appear.
