Two underground pedestrian crossings are currently under construction.

Until 2024, it is planned to build eight off-street pedestrian crossings across the railway tracks of the first Moscow Central Diameter (MTsD-1) in the capital.

“Pedestrian crossings will allow you to conveniently and safely cross the railway tracks in conditions of heavy rail traffic,” said the head of the Moscow Department of Construction

Rafik Zagrutdinov.

The contractor was determined following the results of the competitive procedure.

In 2020, an elevated pedestrian crossing was put into operation from Vasilisa Kozhina Street (property 13) through the northern understudy of Kutuzovsky Prospekt and the railway tracks of the Smolensky direction of the Moscow Railway (MZhD). It provides pedestrian access to Kutuzovsky Prospekt in the area of Poklonnaya Gora.

Currently, the city is building two pedestrian crossings. The first pedestrian underpass passes through the MCD-1 railway tracks and the northern understudy of Kutuzovsky Prospekt in the area of Polotskaya and Gvardeyskaya streets. Completion of construction is scheduled for September 2022. The second pedestrian underpass passes through the MCD-1 and Dmitrovskoe shosse in the area of house 29. Completion of construction under the contract is July 2022.

In addition, urban planning documentation is being developed for five more crossings:

— an underground pedestrian crossing across the railway lines of the Smolensk direction of the Moscow Railways and the northern understudy of Kutuzovsky Prospekt in the area of Ivana Franko Street (building 16);

— an elevated pedestrian crossing over the railway lines of the Smolensk direction of the Moscow Railways and the northern understudy of Kutuzovsky Prospekt in the area of Vasilisa Kozhina Street (building 22);

— an underground pedestrian crossing through the MCD-1 in the area of Yablochkova Street (buildings 35g–37g);

— elevated pedestrian crossing through the MCD-1 and Dmitrovskoe shosse from house 5 to house 7, building 2;
