Residents of MIET produce radio electronics, measuring and analytical instruments, which makes it possible to attract new high-tech orders and highly qualified specialists.

Residents of the Technopolis Moscow Special Economic Zone, working at the Zelenograd site of MIET, produced 30 percent more products in nine months of 2021 than in the same period of 2020. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov.

MIET is one of the first sites of the Moscow Technopolis; companies from microelectronics and information and communication technologies clusters work here.

“In the nine months of 2021, the output of MIET residents increased by almost 30 percent compared to the same period of the previous year. The revenue of companies from the sale of goods, works and services reached 1.3 billion rubles, in 2020 for the same period it amounted to 980 million rubles. Among the key growth factors is the high demand for microelectronics and innovative products for import substitution in Russia,” said Vladimir Yefimov.

From January to September last year, the total volume of manufactured products throughout the SEZ Technopolis Moscow amounted to 16.5 billion rubles, which is 33 percent higher than a year earlier.

“At the MIET site of the metropolitan SEZ, dozens of technological solutions were developed last year, residents invested 539 million rubles in various projects, created about 40 jobs,” said the head of the capital

Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Alexander Prokhorov.

At the Zelenograd site of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ, residents produce radio electronics and crystal equipment, as well as modern measuring and analytical instruments. Such an infrastructure is interesting for business and allows attracting new science-intensive orders and highly qualified specialists with various academic degrees.

“The MIET site is traditionally a science-intensive and manufacturing center for such industries as microelectronics, ICT, and medical technology. Its key developments in 2021 include, for example, medical devices from NRU MIET and the Zelenograd Innovation and Technology Center: a non-invasive glucometer, a circulatory assist device for the heart, and an automatic defibrillator. Their effective bringing to the market is determined both by the convenient infrastructure of the site and the benefits that the status of a SEZ resident gives,” said Gennady Degtev, Director General of the Technopolis Moscow SEZ.
