In Russia, the network of engineering development centers (CIR) will be modernized and expanded. They will create various parts for equipment in the oil and gas, chemical, energy, medical, pharmaceutical and other industries. The resolutions on grant support for the development of such centers were signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.

From Mikhail Mishustin’s opening remarks at an operational meeting with Deputy Prime Ministers on February 21, 2022

The first document involves the allocation of grants to ANO “Agency for Technological Development” for the development of design documentation for components. The agency will become the operator, which will be compensated up to 80% of the cost of paying for services for the development of design documentation for the creation of the necessary parts. In total, it is planned to allocate at least 3.6 billion rubles for these purposes in the next three years.

The second document regulates the allocation of grants for the modernization and expansion of engineering development centers operating on the basis of universities and scientific organizations. We are talking about equipping them with modern laboratory and production equipment, as well as installing the necessary software and purchasing sufficient computing power. RUB 1.5 billion will be allocated for these purposes in 2022-2024.

“We expect that the new measures will allow us to significantly increase the level of localization of the production of products needed for the domestic industry in a short time,” Mikhail Mishustin said at a meeting with deputy prime ministers on February 21.

Documents will be published
