Humanitarian aid from the Federal Reserve for the evacuated residents of the DPR and LPR was sent by columns of the Donskoy and Noginsk rescue centers of the Russian Emergencies Ministry. A convoy of 34 pieces of equipment and 85 rescuers will deliver material assets and essentials.

In addition, in the near future, a convoy with humanitarian cargo will arrive in the Rostov region, which is formed by the regional branches of United Russia in 24 regions of the country.

As Acting Head of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia Alexander Chupriyan noted at a regular meeting of the operational headquarters: “Six constituent entities of the Russian Federation are involved in the work on receiving people who were forced to leave their place of residence, but the geography will only expand. 44 regions are already ready to join this work, where IWRs have been prepared.”

To prevent the spread of coronavirus infection in the Rostov region, the Russian Emergencies Ministry is conducting a special treatment of public spaces and equipment. On February 22, rescuers will disinfect two automobile checkpoints and 37 temporary accommodation points.

More than 1,000 volunteers are also involved in work with IDPs. Among them are psychologists, doctors, animators and attendants. Volunteers meet citizens at transport hubs, provide household assistance at TACs, receive and distribute humanitarian aid that comes to collection points from citizens.

At present, a group of more than 8,000 people and 2,640 units of equipment has been involved from the RSChS to work with internally displaced persons.
