In the House-Museum of M.N. Yermolova will hold a traditional winter holiday – Maslenitsa. It will run from February 26 to March 8.

The program includes a play about love, ritual melodies with divination and a dance master class. Puppets from the Puppet Theater named after S.V. Obraztsova and author’s neo-folk music performed on various folk instruments.

At another master class, guests will learn how to bake pancakes, but unusual ones: the traditional Shrovetide treat will be in the form of a postcard resembling a pancake in shape and based on the sketches of prominent theater artists Alexander Golovin and Fyodor Fyodorovsky.

The hostess of the mansion on Tverskoy Boulevard, Maria Yermolova, will meet the guests of the holiday. Together with her, they will walk through the halls of the famous house, learn its history and get acquainted with rare exhibits – a monumental portrait of Valentin Serov, which depicts Maria Yermolova, an old musical clock-box and personal belongings of the actress.

The actor of the Puppet Theater named after S.V. Obraztsova Alexander Zakhariev, Margarita Tarasova, head of the historical dance studio Angel Stern, Ilya Sharov, artistic director of the Komon ensemble, as well as museum researchers.
