“Starting from 2011, the Government of the capital has been implementing a comprehensive program to modernize the tram traffic in the capital. In the coming years, all tram lines will become less noisy, and the trams themselves will become more comfortable for passengers. Thus, specialists from Mosgosexpertiza agreed on a project for the overhaul of tram tracks in the Koptevo and Shchukino districts. The project provides for the laying of a tram track of crushed stone and block structures. At the same time, the position of the tracks in the plan will remain unchanged, ”said the head of Moscomexpertiza.

The project provides for the dismantling of old and laying new tracks. During the work, it is planned to leave at least 3.5 meters of the road open for traffic in each direction.

A maximum speed limit of 40 kilometers per hour will be introduced at the site, and it will be prohibited to stop here. From 01:30 to 05:30, temporary extensions will be equipped, they will occupy no more than one meter of the roadway. Temporary road signs will also be installed and temporary markings will be applied to the roadway.

Pedestrians will be able to walk on existing sidewalks, footpaths, temporary wooden decks and footbridges (their width will be at least 1.5 meters).
