Industrialists produce cables and cable accessories, electric lamps and lighting equipment, as well as electric motors, generators, transformers and switchgears.
In 2021, the volume of production of electrical equipment in Moscow increased by 65.9 percent compared to 2020. Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations spoke about this Vladimir Efimov.
“Moscow continues to steadily increase the volume of industrial production. For example, last year the output of electrical equipment increased by 65.9 percent compared to 2020. The volume of shipped products amounted to 106 billion rubles. Industry enterprises are constantly mastering new technologies in order to meet the growing demand for their products. The city, in turn, provides maximum assistance to the development of these industries, helps them reduce the tax burden, including by assigning the status of an industrial complex, which has already been received by more than 60 enterprises,” he noted.
Industrialists were able to significantly increase the production of cables and cable accessories, electric lamps and lighting equipment, as well as electric motors, generators, transformers and switchgears. The largest growth was shown by the production of electric lamps and lighting equipment.
“Over the past year, the industrial production of lighting equipment in Moscow has grown by almost 7.5 times compared to 2020. The increase in the output of this group of goods is also due to the massive return of employees to offices and the demand for additional lighting, ”said the head of the Moscow Department of Investment and Industrial Policy
Electrical equipment manufactured in the capital is in demand in a number of industries: construction, mining and processing industries, aircraft manufacturing, communications, robotics and many others.
The manufacturer Lighting Technologies last year increased sales of lighting equipment, including through participation in the provision of medical institutions and stations of the Big Circle Line of the Moscow metro with devices. Due to the increase in the number of orders, the company plans to double the share of investments in new equipment this year.
Moscow cable manufacturers are also increasing their production rates. One of the industry leaders is the Spetskabel plant, which produced almost 20,000 kilometers of fire-resistant cables last year. Every year, the company shows a stable production growth of three to five percent. At the beginning of this year, the plant received the status of an industrial complex, which will help it save about four million rubles annually.
