From the end of February to June 2022, world-famous pianists and composers will hold a series of master classes for students of the capital’s children’s art schools and specialized colleges. The first of eight classes will be held next Saturday. The project is dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the composer Alexander Scriabin.

“Master classes will be held by world-renowned professionals. They will share their knowledge and experience with the children. Most of the program will be devoted to the works of Alexander Scriabin, this year marks the 150th anniversary of the composer’s birth. Together with students of children’s schools of arts and colleges, laureates of grants from the Mayor of Moscow in the field of culture and art of different years will take part in the classes, ”said

On February 26, young musicians will take part in a piano master class led by Evgeny Mikhailov, Honored Artist of Russia, professor at the Kazan Conservatory, author of the album All Scriabin Sonatas. In January 2003, he was awarded the “For Achievement in Culture” badge for popularizing the creative heritage of Alexander Scriabin.

On March 20, a master class will be held by pianist Alexander Vershinin, professor at the Moscow State Conservatory and Kurashiki Sakuyo University of Japan. Since 2001, the artist has been a member of the International Musical Society named after A.N. Scriabin.

On April 9, a master class will be held by the professor of the Japanese Mukogawa University, the famous Russian and Italian pianist Boris Bekhterev. At the lesson on April 16, Honored Artist of Russia Professor of the Moscow Conservatory Andrey Diev will become a mentor. The musician performs with leading orchestras of the world, combines concert activities with teaching.

On April 30, a master class will be held by Sergei Dreznin, pianist, composer, laureate of international competitions, on May 14, Honored Art Worker of Russia, Professor of the Moscow Conservatory, Head of the Special Piano Department of the Gnessin Russian Academy of Music, Vladimir Tropp, and on May 21, People’s Artist of Russia, Professor of the Moscow Conservatory President International Scriabin Society Mikhail Voskresensky.

On June 4, the final master class will take place. It will be held by the laureate of international competitions, Associate Professor of the Special Piano Department of the St. Petersburg Conservatory Petr Laul. In 2020, the pianist presented a cycle of six concertos “All Piano Compositions by A. Scriabin”.
