On February 25, at a meeting of the operational headquarters led by the Acting Head of the Russian Emergencies Ministry Alexander Chupriyan, the results of the work were summed up and tasks were set for receiving and providing comprehensive assistance to refugees from the LPR and DPR.

Currently, about 17.5 thousand people are located in 232 temporary accommodation centers in 15 constituent entities of the Russian Federation. In readiness to receive citizens, 678 TACs have been prepared on the territory of 49 constituent entities of the Russian Federation with a total capacity of more than 60 thousand people.

Today, another 764 people from the Lugansk People’s Republic are expected to arrive in the Rostov region. There are 2 trains in motion, following to the Oryol and Tula regions. 2 more trains are planned for the possible delivery of people to the Kaluga and Novgorod regions.

In two camps of life support of the Russian Emergencies Ministry at checkpoints, work continues to provide financial assistance, medical examinations and testing for COVID-19. Psychologists provided assistance in 3.5 thousand cases.

More than 1,300 calls were received on the hotline phone.

In total, a grouping of more than 8.2 thousand specialists and 2,640 pieces of equipment is involved. Over the coming weekend, work on the reception of refugees is planned to be completed.
