The project “Active Citizen” opened new vote, dedicated to the Moscow Transport Museum. Participants will determine which excursion should be added to the museum’s program in 2024.

“On the instructions of Sergei Sobyanin, we organize events where you can learn more about the history of transport in the capital, and we see great interest from residents in this topic. In 2023, employees of the tour bureau of the Moscow Transport Museum conducted more than 500 excursions. 10 thousand citizens and guests of the capital took part in them. We hope that the new excursions will be no less interesting and will continue to open up the transport history of Moscow for everyone,” said the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Transport

Maxim Liksutov.

You can cast your vote for one of three options or leave the decision to the experts.

For example, on the excursion “Demoden in the storage facility of the Moscow Transport Museum”, visitors will not only get acquainted with the history of urban transport, but will also be able to see some of the rarest exhibits stored in the museum. While walking along Komsomolskaya Square (or the Square of Three Stations, as it is called), participants will learn about the architecture, history and features of the internal structure and interiors of the Kazan, Leningradsky and Yaroslavsky stations, and will also visit the ancient depot, built in 1851. During the excursion “Big Circle Line, First Section” you can visit the stations of the Big Circle Line and walk around the Moscow City business district. Museum staff will tell you how and when the idea of creating the line arose, what factors were taken into account during construction, and much more.

Project “Active Citizen” has been operating since 2014. During this time, more than 6.7 million people joined it, and more than six thousand votes were taken in total. The decisions supported by the majority of participants are implemented in the city. They can be seen on the online map and evaluate it in the “Pulse of the Capital” section. The project is being developed Moscow Department of Information Technologies and State Public Institution “New Management Technologies”.

Now you can take part in the photo promotion “Winter of the Active Citizen”, choose the best skating rinks, ski slopes and slides, and also vote for events for the club Business Update.

The use of digital technologies to improve the quality of life of citizens corresponds to the objectives of the national program “Digital Economy” and the regional project of the city of Moscow “Digital Public Administration”.
