Last year, specialists from the municipal services complex connected 49 houses built as part of the renovation program to power grids. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Housing, Communal Services and Improvement Petr Biryukov.

“Ensuring uninterrupted power supply to residential buildings, including new buildings under the renovation program, is under special control. Over the past year, 49 such apartment buildings were connected to the networks in the Kosino-Ukhtomsky, Voikovsky, Academichesky and Losinoostrovsky districts,” he said.

As part of the work, more than 180 kilometers of electrical networks with voltages of 0.4 and 10 kilovolts were laid. Their total power was more than 950 thousand kilowatts. All activities were carried out using modern technologies and special equipment, including using the horizontal directional drilling method, that is, the trenchless method. It is used in densely built conditions to minimize digging and not damage already laid communications.

All new residential buildings are provided with electricity according to the second reliability category: in the event of a technological failure on one line, the voltage will be automatically supplied via a backup line.

Moscow is one of the leaders among regions in terms of pace and volume of construction. Over the past few years, within the framework of the regional project “Housing” of the national project “Housing and Urban Environment”, the volume of construction and commissioning of residential buildings in the capital has doubled – from three million to five to seven million square meters per year.
