State University students presented an analogue of the Apple AirTag beacon in the form of a sticker, which has the function of GPS tracking and data protection.

The invention will help to find lost things using a mobile application or a sound signal and protect property from theft. In addition, the sticker can be used to monitor children or elderly relatives who have difficulty with orientation in space.

Such a sticker will also be useful for large companies, which can use it to track finished goods and raw materials in a warehouse or during transportation.

The tracker has an Anti-Spy function that prevents hackers from intercepting data.

“Our idea is to develop a prototype of a small sticker that is charged by a battery and provides trouble-free operation for a long time. On the surface of the sticker there are thin threads of electrical circuits, which does not increase its volume, but ensures high-quality operation of the GPS tracker,” said one of the project leaders, 1st year master’s student at State University Anton Sergeev.

The project is currently at the concept stage, the team is looking for an investor to create a working prototype. By June 1, 2024, the guys plan to develop portable smart stickers and a mobile application and launch production.

The project was presented at the demo day of the best startup projects of the State University acceleration program “Technologies of the Future”, which is part of the federal project “University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform (UTP)”.
