Digitalization of services for citizens of the Eurasian Economic Union increases the transparency of doing business, removes barriers, and creates a single labor market in the EAEU space. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Economic Development of Russia Dmitry Volvach.

Since 2022, the “Work in the EAEU” mobile application, developed by specialists from the Digital Initiatives Fund of the Eurasian Development Bank, has been successfully operating for citizens of the EAEU. It is very popular among residents from the “Eurasian Five” countries.

Currently, the mobile application is synchronized with national segments of government and commercial services for migrant workers from Russia, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan. This means that their citizens moving to work in other EAEU countries can receive the services necessary for employment directly on their smartphone.

In the “Work in the EAEU” application, you can search for current vacancies, find out how to draw up the necessary documents, use the service of the State Tax Service of Russia, Armenia and Kyrgyzstan, and familiarize yourself with information about registration in electronic format of a voluntary patent, a mandatory patent and a patent of an employee carrying out activities in an area subject to mandatory patenting, and also learn about recommended steps for employment in the “Helper” section. The application is supplemented with services for searching for housing and online registration of foreign citizens at their place of stay.

“Such services simplify the employment process and allow citizens of the Eurasian Five countries to look for work without leaving their place of permanent residence, and allow employers to select workers in other EAEU countries,” noted Dmitry Volvach. – Work on the development of the mobile application and its distribution to other EAEU member countries continues. Already in 2024, it is planned to develop a national segment of the Republic of Belarus, issues of introducing additional services useful within the framework of labor migration are being worked out.”

He also noted that the popularity of the application will grow rapidly given the constantly increasing functionality.
