Registration for participation in the event has opened on the City of Ideas platform. project “Reading Moscow”. It is dedicated to the development of the library sector and is organized jointly with the capital Department of Culture.

The “Reading Moscow” project will last from February 6 to 12, and will have four directions. Citizens will be able to propose new topics for the project of the same name on, initiatives for the development of electronic services and ideas for events that will be held in the capital’s libraries.

In addition, Muscovites will propose categories and formats that they would like to see on library pages on social networks. Participants will discuss special spaces for study, work and leisure in the capital, and will also talk about participation in the “Decommissioned Books” project and how they use the electronic catalog of publications.

Ideas selected by experts will be put to a vote. The best initiatives will be implemented in the city.

Platform “City of Ideas” has been operating since 2014. More than 490 thousand users have already joined it. They share suggestions on how to make life in the capital even more comfortable. Over six thousand proposals have already been implemented. Citizens took part in projects dedicated to electronic services, culture, entrepreneurship, healthcare, education, transport and other topics.

Muscovites can not only take part in projects, but also introduce their own initiatives in the section “To suggest an idea”.

The platform is being developed by the State Public Institution “New Management Technologies” and the capital Information Technology Department.

The use of digital technologies to improve the quality of life of citizens corresponds to the objectives of the national program “Digital Economy of the Russian Federation” and the regional project of the city of Moscow “Digital Public Administration”.
