The qualifying stage of the Kurchatov Olympiad for schoolchildren begins in the capital. Sergei Sobyanin announced this in your telegram channel.

The competition is held in physics for students in grades 7-11 and in mathematics for students in grades 6-11. There will be two rounds in total: qualifying and final. The first will take place from January 31 to February 14 remotely. To participate, you must first log in through the portal. “Moscow Electronic School”. Schoolchildren who have successfully passed the qualifying stage will be invited to the second round.

“The competition has been held in partnership with the Kurchatov Institute for more than 10 years and is annually popular among schoolchildren. It was supported by many leading universities and scientific organizations in the capital. Almost 12 thousand Muscovites took part in the qualifying stage in 2023,” said Sergei Sobyanin.

The Kurchatov Olympiad is included in the list of the Russian Ministry of Education and Science. This means that its winners or prize-winners can receive benefits when entering Russian universities – from 100 points for the Unified State Exam in physics or mathematics to admission without exams.
