The advanced engineering school “RosGeoTech” was created on the basis of GGNTU named after. acad. M.D. Millionshchikov together with the State University of Management. The School’s activities cover the development of alternative energy, power engineering, oil and gas engineering at the final stage of oil field exploitation, autonomous unmanned and robotic innovative systems.

Uniqueness of the RosGeoTech NSP

NIS “RosGeoTech” is a unique base in the North Caucasus Federal District for the development of critical technologies and training of personnel for the integrated use of wells at the final stages of oil deposit development in the interests of sustainable development of oil and gas producing regions of Russia.

The Chechen Republic is the first subject in Russia, on the territory of which the largest oil producing company JSC Grozneftegaz (PJSC NK Rosneft), which is the main industrial partner of the School, is faced with the problem that more than 95% of oil wells have exhausted their resource, the flow rate of the fields is decreasing , and the fleet of depleted wells in need of conservation and abandonment is already many times greater than the number of those in active operation. These challenges will become relevant for other oil-producing regions of the Russian Federation. The technologies developed at NSP have high export potential and may be in demand in other oil-producing countries of the Middle East and Central Asia.

Key results of the implementation of the NSP development program by 2030:

21 new educational programs of higher education for advanced training of engineering personnel and additional professional programs were developed and implemented; More than 600 students were trained at an advanced engineering school in educational programs of higher education and additional professional programs, employed in Russian high-tech companies and enterprises; More than 600 engineers completed training in additional professional education programs at an advanced engineering school; Breakthrough technologies and products created during the implementation of 5 NSP scientific projects (Geothermics-2030, ABRIS, EcoTriz, GeoMap, IS “Nedra”) were developed and implemented; 7 special scientific- educational spaces; More than 5,000 schoolchildren took part in NSP activities for the purpose of early career guidance.

About the project “Advanced Engineering Schools”

Advanced engineering schools are a federal project created in 2022 on the initiative of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation and aimed at training qualified engineering personnel for high-tech sectors of the economy. The federal project is one of the initiatives of the Government of the Russian Federation aimed at improving the quality of life of citizens, and is carried out within the framework of the state program “Scientific and technological development of the Russian Federation”.

The goal of the federal project is to provide highly productive export-oriented sectors of the country’s economy with highly qualified personnel to achieve technological independence. Create the latest types of high-tech products in partnership with high-tech companies of the Russian Federation.
