On February 22, on the eve of the celebration of Defender of the Fatherland Day, a meeting was held at the State University of Ukraine with a soldier of the Northern Military District, who volunteered in the first days after the announcement of mobilization, Dmitry Naumov.

Over a cup of tea, teachers and caring students of our university were able to communicate live with a serviceman, ask questions and receive first-hand information about what is happening at the border.

“I have a wife and three children. I went into battle both for the country and for them. After all, if we do not set the right example for our children, they will be guided by the values that our enemies show them. We must remember and be proud of our roots, our country, our people. To proudly say: “I am Russian.” So that many years from now, when the grandchildren ask about what happened during this historical period, they can not hide their eyes, but proudly say that they stood up for their people,” shared Dmitry Alexandrovich.

At the meeting, they also discussed government support for military personnel, how important it is and whether it helps them return to peaceful life.

“I am definitely grateful to the state for its support these days. It does everything so that we can defend our country knowing that our families will be taken care of and helped in any case. Such a state is worth defending,” the invited guest emphasized.

He also said that he accompanies an Orthodox priest who goes to the front line and cares for the soldiers. During the conversation, the serviceman freely quoted the works of classics, read poetry, and gave historical and literary examples.

“Those who defend the country on the front line and those who help the children are the real diamonds of Russia,” concluded Dmitry Alexandrovich.

Director of the Institute of Economics and Finance of the State University of Management Galina Sorokina thanked the guest for the informative conversation and said that meetings with interesting people “over a cup of tea” will continue. Information about the following events will be published additionally.

The meeting took place as part of the “GUU – SVOim” campaign. Organizers of the event: Moscow headquarters of VSKS and the Institute of Economics and Finance of the State University of Medicine.
