Capital enterprises that produce computer equipment, optics and electronics increased their production volumes by 25.2 percent in 2023. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for Economic Policy and Property and Land Relations Vladimir Efimov.

“The capital continues to demonstrate high rates of industrial growth. Thus, in 2023, the production volume of high-tech products increased by 25.2 percent compared to 2022. The companies also increased the volume of product deliveries to customers by 16.8 percent. The dynamic growth is due, among other things, to the active assistance of the city. For example, the Moscow Fund for Support of Industry and Entrepreneurship provided one of the leading manufacturers of high-speed optical transceivers with financial support in the form of a preferential investment loan. The program will allow the company to purchase 50 units of equipment,” said Vladimir Efimov.

The products of Moscow enterprises are widely used in industry, electric power, information security and many other industries.

According to the Minister of the Moscow Government, Head of the Department of Investment and Industrial Policy Vladislav Ovchinsky, more than 100 companies produce computer equipment and electronics in Moscow. They produce computers, computing machines, software and hardware systems, semiconductor devices and other products.

“The capital’s industrialists continue to increase production capacity. For example, the Moscow Engineering Center, which produces automated control systems, produced about 5.5 thousand products in 2023, which is 28 percent more than in 2022,” noted the head of the department.

Another manufacturer last year introduced a line of compact computers for industrial and infrastructure facilities. The devices can operate in two temperature ranges: from zero to plus 75 and from minus 40 to plus 75 degrees Celsius. They monitor and configure interactive panels and systems, and collect and send information to production facilities.

Previously The mayor of Moscow reportedthat the volume of production of the capital’s manufacturing enterprises over the past year increased by 18.5 percent.

Moscow is a city with developed production. There are more than 4.2 thousand industrial companies in the capital, employing 725 thousand people. Every year, 40–50 medium and large enterprises are opened, as well as about 100 small ones. They produce a variety of products and actively innovate.
