The XII Rosneft Winter Sports Games, which took place in Krasnoyarsk from February 25 to 29, have ended.

A record number of participants competed for victory in the corporate tournament – more than 650 athletes from 39 teams representing subsidiaries and the central management of the Company.

The development of the sports movement is one of the Company’s key priorities. Rosneft carries out large-scale work to develop sports and popularize a healthy lifestyle both among the Company’s employees and among the population of the regions where it operates. The annual summer and winter Spartakiads are an important part of the Company’s activities in this direction.

This year’s winter competitions were held in four sports: the already traditional hockey, skiing and biathlon, as well as a new discipline – curling.

The winner of the XII Winter Sports Games in the team competition was “Angara” of the Angarsk Petrochemical Company, which since 2012 has become the champion 13 times and the winner of the Summer and Winter Games of the Company 6 times. The Bashneft-Dobycha team won silver, and Ufaorgsintez won bronze.

In hockey, the squad of the Ufaorgsintez enterprise won first place, Angary won second, and Verkhnechonskneftegaz won third. In the ski relay the places were distributed as follows: first – Samaraneftegaz, second – Angara, third – Bashneft-Dobycha.

Biathlon competitions aroused great interest. Competitions in this sport are being held for the second time – they were added to the Rosneft Winter Spartakiad program only in 2023. The winner of the biathlon relay was the Kuibyshev Oil Refinery; the second and third places were taken, respectively, by the teams of the Yuganskneftegaz and RN-Vankor enterprises.

As part of the XII Winter Sports Games, family curling competitions were also held, dedicated to the Year of the Family in the Russian Federation, under the unspoken motto “My family is my victory.” Curling was included in the Games program for the first time and aroused unprecedented enthusiasm among the competition participants. Places in the curling tournament were distributed as follows: first – representatives of the Saratov Refinery Ekaterina Ilyina and Maxim Pichugin, second – Daria and Andrey Kushnarevs from Vostsibneftegaz, third – Valentina and Ivan Arshinovs, representing the Orenburgneft team.

The jury also encouraged participants in sports games for discipline, team spirit and the will to win. The most disciplined team was KC Bashneft, the most united was Vostsibneftegaz, the most progressive was Tyumenneftegaz. Bashneft-Stroy was recognized as the best debutant, and the Slavneft-Krasnoyarskneftegaz team received a diploma “For the will to win.”

Congratulations to the winners and participants of the Winter Games and wish them new achievements!
