The Orenburgneft company (part of the oil-producing asset of Rosneft) has introduced domestic innovative technology that increases the operational efficiency of the pipeline system in the fields.

The new technology is based on the use of a unique device for swirling liquid flow. The development of Russian engineers changes the structure of the flow of produced hydrocarbons, due to which mechanical impurities and deposits are intensively washed out of the pipeline. The deposition of paraffins on the pipe walls is prevented, which increases the throughput of pipelines, as well as the environmental and industrial safety of production.

The use of new technology increases the inter-treatment period of pipelines by an average of one and a half times and helps to increase the efficiency of operation of the pipeline fleet in the fields. In addition, the implementation of the project ensures an annual reduction in operating costs for mechanical pipe cleaning.

Trouble-free operation of industrial facilities is one of the priorities of the Rosneft-2030 strategy and the Company’s key task in all areas of activity. To achieve better performance in the field of environmental protection, the Company is improving approaches to environmental management, increasing the scale of environmental activities and the necessary investments for these purposes.

Orenburgneft is a key production asset of Rosneft in the Volga Federal District and has been developing oil and gas fields for 60 years. The enterprise’s production facilities are located in the Orenburg and Samara regions. Cumulative production since 1963 is more than 456 million tons of oil.

The total length of the enterprise’s pipeline system exceeds 5,800 kilometers. As part of the work to improve the reliability of pipelines, in 2023 the enterprise carried out diagnostics and industrial safety examination of 1,755 km of pipelines; inhibitor protection covered more than 3,400 km of pipelines.
