On March 13 at 15:00, the Information Technology Center of the State University of Management will host a screening of the documentary film “The German Teacher,” followed by a meeting with the director and screenwriter of the film, Evgeny Kozhokin.

The documentary is dedicated to the life of Soviet intelligence officer Rakhim Burkhanov. Coming from a noble, wealthy Bukhara family, in the 20s of the last century he studied in Germany and was fluent in German. During the Great Patriotic War, he was sent through our intelligence agencies to the Germans for introduction into the structures involved in Soviet Central Asia. After passing inhumane tests, Burkhanov managed to obtain information about the agents that the Nazis were dropping into the USSR.

The director and scriptwriter is the Dean of the Faculty of International Relations, Political Science and Foreign Regional Studies of the Russian State University for the Humanities, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Evgeniy Kozhokin.
