The State University of Management provided sociological support for the World Youth Festival 2024, which took place in Sochi from March 1 to 7.

During all days of the Festival, starting with collecting the expectations of participants, the Center for Sociological Research “14-35” conducted a daily online survey dedicated to the meanings of the day. Every day, participants were asked to complete a new survey and share their opinions on various questions; the results of each day’s survey were announced on the Main Stage.

This week, the collection of responses to the feedback questionnaire is completed, in which participants will be able to tell which events of the Festival seemed the most atmospheric, with what emotions they returned home, and share plans for the future. At the end of the questionnaire, there is an opportunity to create a “time capsule” – to write wishes and instructions to future participants of the next Youth Festival.

In addition to the survey, sociological support also included qualitative research methods, such as interviews with foreign participants and project research sessions with participants from Russia.

On March 4 and 5, project research sessions were held at the WFM site – an interactive immersion in the discussion of the main meanings of the Festival. Participants were offered group assignments, exercises, and participation in gaming practices. In the process, they shared their opinions, proposed ideas and expressed reasoned positions.

“The participants became actors in the play “Russia”, where they defined their role, tried to find the most promising areas for the professional and personal development of youth, discussed family values, and also identified the difficulties that a young family may face,” said the director of the Center for Sociological Research “14-35” Natalya Pushkareva.

She also promises to share the survey results soon. Follow the news.
