On March 13, 2024, a meeting was held between the leadership of the State University of Management and the Russian House of International Scientific and Technical Cooperation (RD ISTS).

On behalf of the State University of Management, the meeting was attended by Rector Vladimir Stroev, Vice-Rector Maria Karelina and Director of the Engineering Project Management Center Vladimir Filatov. From the side of the RD ISTS General Director Dmitry Protasovsky, Deputy General Director Sergey Kasyanov and Advisor to the General Director Dmitry Litoshenko.

The Russian House of International Scientific and Technical Cooperation is a non-governmental development institution responsible for coordination and interaction with foreign economic entities in the field of international scientific and technical cooperation. RD ISTS was established on behalf of the Government of the Russian Federation in 1992. Over the years of activity, he organized more than 150 international scientific and technical forums, a significant number of investment projects in various areas of international scientific and technical cooperation, technology transfer.

The main outcome of the meeting was the signing of a cooperation agreement. Currently, three main projects are underway: – Creation of regional clusters of unmanned and manned aerial vehicles; – Droneing (organization of drone infrastructure) in the Ryazan region; – Implementation of educational projects to train students from friendly partner countries of the RD ISTS.

In addition, various prospects and opportunities for further expanding cooperation at various levels were discussed, such as creating a consortium with the National University of Laos or drone technology in other regions of Russia, in addition to the Ryazan region.

Colleagues from the RD ISTS supported Maria Karelina’s proposal to create an Artificial Intelligence Center together with the North Caucasus Mining and Metallurgical Institute, Vladimir State University and other partners. The main focus of the Center’s work will be the digital industry.

General Director of RD ISTS Dmitry Protasovsky spoke about plans for holding Vietnam Week and China Week in Russia, as well as Russia Week in Vietnam. State University Rector Vladimir Stroev received an invitation to take part in these events in order to establish international relations. The rector noted that Vietnam is now one of the priority areas for cooperation, both in the field of education and in the field of industry, construction and infrastructure development. Vladimir Vitalievich told the guests that recently our Vietnamese student met with Russian President Vladimir Putin as part of the World Youth Festival.

The State University of Management has expressed interest in participating in the RD ISTS “Russian Heritage” project, which is a three-year educational program for foreign citizens in various countries. As part of the programs, students study the history and culture of Russia, the Russian language and other disciplines in various fields of knowledge, which help students in choosing specialized Russian universities to continue their studies.
