The youth delegation included students from Malaysia, China, Latin America, Portugal, Spain, Bulgaria, France and other countries. The guys visited the Polytechnic University to learn more about the university.

The guests were greeted by the Vice-Rector for Youth Policy and Communication Technologies of SPbPU Maxim Pasholikov, who noted that festival became an incredible event for all young people and left many impressions. He also spoke about the main activities of the Polytechnic University.

Activists of the SPbPU Center for Volunteer Projects “Harmony” prepared an interesting program for the guests. First, we had a tour of the campus, then in the Main building the guys looked at the gallery of outstanding polytechnic scientists, visited the meeting room of the Academic Council, took pictures on the White Staircase and enjoyed the beauty of the White Hall. At the Polytechnic History Museum, participants learned about the main stages of the formation of the university.

I was given the opportunity to show the foreign participants of the World Youth Festival our beloved Polytechnic University, and it is unforgettable! I spoke about advanced technologies and the main scientific discoveries of our university. Among the guests were engineering students, but humanities students were also interested. “I’m proud to be a polytechnician,” shared Tegu Polytechnic student Imanulla, a volunteer at the Dobro.Center “Harmony.”

At the master class, the guys created designer T-shirts: using acrylic paints on fabric, they painted the symbol of the VFM – Cheburashka. Delegates could take the T-shirt as a souvenir, or they could donate it as a gift to the “basket of goodness” as part of the All-Russian “We Are Together” campaign.

We are proud of our country, our beloved city and our native university. It was with great pleasure that we met active young people from different parts of our planet at the Polytechnic University. We exchanged contacts, discussed plans and future meetings. It was nice to once again become part of the World Youth Festival within the framework of a regional agenda. The guys promised to return to the Polytechnic and St. Petersburg,” Tatyana, director of the Dobro.Center “Harmony” of SPbPU, told us.
