The Bank of Russia maintains a database of suspicious transactions, to which all banks, after customer complaints, transmit details of fraudulent transactions. Thanks to it, credit institutions can more effectively counteract cyber fraudsters. The procedure for appealing the unreasonable entry of details into the database is provided by lawand will reduce negative consequences for bank clients.

You can submit an application to the Bank of Russia directly, on the regulator’s website or through your bank. The document provides that the bank has the right to independently, without the participation of its client, send to the regulator a reasoned application for exclusion from the database. The Bank of Russia will consider the application within 15 working days and notify the bank client or the credit institution itself about the decision.

The procedure by which the Bank of Russia makes a decision on an application, as well as the list of necessary data to be submitted to the regulator, are contained in the draft instructions.
