On March 26, the III Interuniversity Student Olympiad on Economic and Financial Security was held at the St. Petersburg Law Institute (branch) of the University of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation. Along with SPbGASU, teams from many universities training students in the specialty “Economic Security” took part in the Olympiad.

SPbGASU was represented by the team “VAT” (“Money Can’t Buy Happiness”) consisting of second-year students of the Department of Economic Security of the Faculty of Economics and Management Alexandra Kolesova (captain), Kristina Demina, Daria Zvonareva, Sofia Myagkaya and Ksenia Seifetdinova. Head – Ph.D. Sc., Associate Professor of the Department of Economic Security Vladislav Uskov.

As part of the Olympiad, it was necessary to prepare a research paper to complete the task “Scientific Essay” on a topic specified by the organizers.

The teams then presented their titles and presentation videos as part of the “Welcome” activity.

The third stage was testing team members on current issues of economic and financial security.

The last stage – the case task, was a solution to a problem close to practical conditions in the field of ensuring economic security, financial security, including issues of financial literacy.

In a bitter struggle, our participants took third place. We congratulate them and wish them further success!
