Two SPbPU choir groups were recognized as the best at the third All-Russian open choir festival-competition “Rainbow”. Polytechnic University is not only the first in science, but also in art! A performance at the State Academic Chapel of St. Petersburg and a gala concert at the Mariinsky Theater – these were exciting days for the singing polytechnic students.

The youth choir “Polyhymnia” under the direction of Anna Podgornova won the title of first degree laureate in the category “Amateur youth choirs”. And the SPbPU Chamber Choir under the direction of Alexandra Makarova received the highest rating from the jury and became the absolute winner. Moreover, it was the only choir that scored the maximum number of points.

Polytechnic students who participate in creative groups of the university manage to study well, win competitions and delight the public with large concert programs, which are now included in the repertoire of the White Hall along with concerts of famous musicians and artists. On March 29, members of the SPbPU Chamber Choir performed Schubert’s Mass, accompanied by the country’s eminent organist Daniel Zaretsky and the orchestra of the St. Petersburg State Conservatory. N. The vocal skill of the choir members under the direction of Alexandra Makarova surprised both listeners and professionals.

This is not the end of the guys’ concert season. On April 29, the Polytechnic University welcomes students from MEPhI and Petrozavodsk State University at a concert in honor of the 10th anniversary of the SPbPU Chamber Choir.

On April 15, in the White Hall you can hear Anna German’s songs performed by polytechnicians from the Vocal Studio “PolyVox” of St. Petersburg Polytechnic University – laureates of the international Anna German Song Festival in Warsaw. The most soulful compositions will be performed accompanied by musicians of the Polytechnic Variety and Symphony Orchestra, whose performances are always received with special love by the audience.
