Construction of the main structures of the reversible dead-ends behind the General Karbyshev Boulevard station under construction on the Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya metro line continues. This was announced by the Deputy Mayor of Moscow for urban planning policy and construction Andrey Bochkarev.

“The dead ends behind the future General Karbyshev Boulevard station are needed for turning around and stopping trains on the Rublevo-Arkhangelsk metro line. Now a monolithic structure is being erected – more than three thousand cubic meters of reinforced concrete structures are already ready,” he explained.

The construction of the General Karbyshev Boulevard station complex is being carried out using an open pit method in a pit in dense urban areas.

According to the deputy mayor, the installation of enclosing structures for the pit of the station itself using the “wall in soil” method is also ongoing. This technology makes it possible to carry out work in difficult hydrogeological conditions and create a durable structure that is resistant to ground movement.

To complete this work, it is necessary to remove utilities from the construction area – currently specialists are moving gas and heating networks.

The station “Boulevard of General Karbyshev” is shallow, island type. It is located in the Khoroshevo-Mnevniki district on Marshal Tukhachevsky Street (opposite General Karbyshev Boulevard). The station will include two underground lobbies with exits to residential and public and business buildings, as well as stopping points for ground passenger transport.

The future Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya metro line will connect the actively developing territory in the Rublevo-Arkhangelskoye microdistrict with the stations of the Big Circle Line, and will pass under residential and industrial buildings, park areas and reservoirs in the north-west of the capital. New convenient and fast routes will become available for Muscovites and city guests.

In addition to the General Karbyshev Boulevard station, work is also underway at the Zvenigorodskaya and Narodnoye Opolchenie stations on the construction site of the 4.8-kilometer Rublevo-Arkhangelskaya line.

Earlier, Sergei Sobyanin said that the Narodnoye Opolchenie metro station was one third ready. With its opening, 800 thousand Muscovites will be able to choose new routes.
