During a working trip to the Donetsk People’s Republic, Deputy Prime Minister – Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Far Eastern Federal District Yuri Trutnev checked the progress of the restoration of the social infrastructure of the territories sponsored by the Far Eastern regions, and got acquainted with the progress of the restoration of the Starobeshevskaya Thermal Power Plant in the village of Novy Svet.

“During the period of patronage, the regions of the Far East did not miss a single deadline. All regional groups of the Far Eastern Federal District work responsibly on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic. The current trip was connected with the need to explore new territory. Another municipal entity has been identified in Yakutia. In Kirovsky they coped with their task, now they will deal with Dokuchaevsky. I wanted to see the scope of restoration work. The front is wide – more than 60 objects. I am confident that the Yakut people will carry out the work as they have done so far, that is, in compliance with deadlines and with high quality,” said Yuri Trutnev.

In accordance with the instructions of Russian President Vladimir Putin, the regional group of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) completed construction and installation work in a building to house a multifunctional center for the provision of state and municipal services in the village of Elenovka. The MFC will serve 15 thousand residents of Elenovka and nearby settlements. The facility is completely ready, equipped with the necessary equipment, and MFC employees are already beginning to accept documents from citizens.

Currently, master plans for settlements of the Dokuchaevsky urban district are being developed. Work has already begun on restoring the city park in Dokuchaevsk. The priority plans include the improvement of pedestrian paths in the park area and the installation of lighting. The city began repairing apartment buildings that were shelled, the local community center and other facilities. The X-ray room is being renovated and equipment is being purchased. It is planned to create an information technology center in Dokuchaevsk, and a film screening system from the Yakut company Extra Cinema will also appear in the city. In total, in accordance with the plan, 65 objects of the Dokuchaevsky urban district will be restored.

Earlier, during the patronage of Yakutia in the city of Kirovskoye, more than 50 social infrastructure facilities were restored. Yakutia also provided support in updating the medical equipment of the Kirovsky city hospital; a new X-ray machine was purchased and installed. A team of Yakut ophthalmologists helped many residents of Donbass regain their sight; in the open branch of the Yakut ophthalmological hospital in Kirovsky, more than 700 primary patients were examined and about 340 patients were operated on since October 2023.

The restoration of the liberated territories is carried out on behalf of the head of state. Nine settlements and two districts of the Donetsk People’s Republic, where more than 220 thousand people live, are assigned to the subjects of the Far East. All 11 Far Eastern regions are taking part in the restoration work. In accordance with the agreed plan, construction and installation work is envisaged at 222 infrastructure facilities in 2024. 26 contractors who have proven themselves positively in 2022–2023 were involved in construction and installation work. This year it is planned to restore 14 schools, 4 kindergartens, 3 hospitals, 10 children’s and sports grounds, 4.32 km of water pipelines, 195.61 thousand square meters. m of roads. Since the beginning of the year, construction and installation work has been completed at 24 facilities, 11 facilities have been commissioned, including a school. Also this year, the regions of the Far East purchased and transferred 4 units of automotive and special equipment for sponsored territories. 28 tons of humanitarian aid were sent. More than 2.5 thousand children will receive therapeutic and recreational holidays.

In the village of Novy Svet, the Deputy Prime Minister visited Starobeshevskaya Thermal Power Plant. The station is one of the generation facilities that ensure the energy security of the DPR. Donbass energy workers reported on the completion of work to restore and modernize generating facilities to guarantee the provision of heat and light to residents of the region. According to the managers of the thermal power plant, people work in difficult conditions: from time to time the enemy tries to damage the operation of the thermal power plant, but power engineers, risking their lives, often under fire, quickly respond to breakdowns and do everything possible to prevent power supply failures.

Yuri Trutnev noted the importance of uninterrupted operation of the thermal power plant. The station supplies electricity to the central and southern regions of the DPR. “The thermal power plant provides a wide range of consumers on the territory of the Donetsk People’s Republic. Power engineers quickly respond to enemy raids and quickly repair damage. Thanks to this, there are virtually no power outages,” he said.

On the instructions of the Deputy Prime Minister, the next batch of weapons, uniforms, as well as vehicles, including products of Far Eastern enterprises produced in the Patriotic ASEZ, was transferred to the commanders and military personnel of the Russian army, including those from the Far East, to the front line in the Northern Military District zone.

“Techniques change, technologies change. Previously, we brought electronic warfare stations of the same type. Now there is a much wider range, including those produced by our industry. It’s the same with unmanned aerial vehicles, with rifles, with sighting systems. New lines are appearing that are in demand on the front lines, which allow our soldiers to work more successfully. This support will continue until our victory,” Yuri Trutnev emphasized.

Military personnel, mobilized and volunteer units of the Eastern Military District located in the Donbass, fighters of the operational-combat tactical formation of the DPR “Cascade” and the volunteer detachment of the Russian Union of Martial Arts “Soyuz” received weapons and uniforms.

The soldiers received large-caliber sniper systems, radio reconnaissance equipment for detecting enemy UAVs and electronic warfare, unmanned aerial systems produced in Buryatia based on the GAZ Sobol vehicle, FPV drones from Yakutia and from other domestic manufacturers, thermal imaging surveillance systems and sighting thermal imaging systems for high-precision large-caliber weapons (heavy sniper rifles), night vision devices.

Vehicles were delivered. The military received a lightly armored vehicle and all-terrain vehicles from a Yakut enterprise. This type of equipment is regularly supplied to the front line and has proven itself well. Yakut-made modular water treatment plants were transferred to military units.

Also sent to the front line were domestically produced hemostatic agents and hemostatic tourniquets produced at the enterprise in Birobidzhan.
