A traveling exhibition of Russian education was held in several cities in China, in which Peter the Great St. Petersburg Polytechnic University took part. The exhibition was organized by the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Beijing (Rossotrudnichestvo).

SPbPU has more than a hundred partners from China, with whom joint scientific and educational projects are being implemented, and scientific centers and institutes have been opened. The official Representative Office of SPbPU in Shanghai and an office based at the Jiangsu Research Institute of Industrial Technology in Nanjing are successfully operating, which contribute to establishing and maintaining connections with international partners, leading universities and research organizations, industry, high-tech companies and innovative enterprises.

Polytechnic University’s participation in the traveling exhibition of Russian education in China was another opportunity to demonstrate the university’s achievements, draw attention to international educational programs and strengthen partnerships with Chinese universities and schools.

The exhibition started in Beijing and continued to operate in the cities of Xinyang, Hebi, Xi’an, Yangling and Chongqing, at Rossotrudnichestvo partner sites in schools and universities. At the opening, the representative of the Russian Ministry of Science and Higher Education in China, Igor Pozdnyakov, addressed the participants and outlined the goals and objectives of Russian-Chinese cooperation in the field of education.

Cooperation between the Polytechnic University and Chinese universities and scientific clusters plays an important role in the development of cultural and educational exchange, and also contributes to the promotion of Russian education abroad and the expansion of partnerships in the field of science and technology, noted the head of the Department of International Education, Evgenia Satalkina.

Deputy Head of the Department of International Education Anastasia Prokopchuk and leading manager of the SPbPU Representative Office in Shanghai Darina Balzhimeva presented educational programs, opportunities for students and prospects for cooperation with Chinese partners. During the exhibition, the Polytechnic stand was visited by more than 3,000 future applicants. Chinese schoolchildren became particularly interested in information technology, physics, space and telecommunications technologies, construction and design.
