A project has been agreed upon to renovate the building of the Mayak family education center in the Metrogorodok area. This was stated by the Chairman of the Moscow City Committee on Pricing Policy in Construction and State Expertise of Projects (Moskomekspertiza) Ivan Shcherbakov.

“The Center for Promoting Family Education “Mayak” is located at: Otkrytoye Shosse, building 29, building 12. The building was built in 1966. According to the project, renovation work will take place on the ground floor of the institution, in one of the departments,” Ivan Shcherbakov said.

Specialists will update the decoration of the corridor, medical unit and other rooms, as well as replace windows and doors.

The Center for Promotion of Family Education “Mayak” provides comprehensive support to orphans and children without parental care, creates comfortable living conditions for its pupils, as close as possible to those at home, and does everything possible to ensure that the children return to their birth family or are settled into a replacement. In addition, the institution develops and successfully implements programs to support children with special needs, including severe disabilities.
