On April 18, the Marina Tsvetaeva House-Museum will open the exhibition “That Mountain Was – Worlds!”, dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the creation of “The Poem of the Mountain” and “The Poem of the End.”

The lyrical plot of both poems is based on Tsvetaeva’s separation from Konstantin Rodzevich. And the heroine of the works was the poetess herself, her soul, pierced by pain many years before this disaster.

Museum guests will see for the first time the rough notebook in which Tsvetaeva worked on her poems. Individual entries will be enlarged and projected onto the wall so that everyone can feel like a researcher reading the original source in the archive.

The exhibition will feature household items, departure documents, and Czechoslovak money, which will tell about the “poor and cramped” life of an emigrant. Visitors will also be able to see Tsvetaeva’s bracelet and dress.

The partners of the exhibition were the Russian State Archive of Literature and Art, the M.A. Museum-Reserve. Voloshin (department “Museum of Marina and Anastasia Tsvetaeva”) and the museum association “Museums of the Korolev Science City” (department “Memorial House-Museum of Marina Tsvetaeva in Bolshevo”).

You can visit the exhibition with a ticket. to the museum. The exhibition will run until April 13, 2025.

The exhibition contributes to the development of the national project “Culture”. You can find out more about this and other national projects implemented in Moscow Online.
